BRAND COLLATERAL: LIVING WILD

Logo, branding, printed and digital marketing materials for Living Wild, a weekend festival of immersive learning about the abundant tradition of flower uses in cooking, scent, natural dyes, medicine, and more. Open to all ages and knowledge levels, this event was envisioned to promote awareness of the uses and benefits of local, sustainable flowers native to upstate New York.

wORDMARK

The logo brings together hand-lettered calligraphy and a geometric sans-serif for a feel that marries natural to modern. This mark is equally comfortable in print and digital applications, remains legible at various sizes, and can live appropriately for event strategy implementations in both a rural and urban setting.

PRINT & PASTE MARKETING

Each poster features a type of flower depicted in calligraphy, vintage floral illustrations, and hand-drawn outlines that mimic chalkboards. These designs modernize educational botanical drawings for a contemporary audience.

Mini-advertisements are pasted on buildings around New York City. By bringing flowers into urban life, specifically in locations where they physically cannot grow, the ads utilize engagement by inviting viewers to consider the potential presence and use of flowers in their daily lives.

WEBSITE & SOCIAL MEDIA

All event collateral required translating between web and printed assets, yet had to remain visually seamless. The website design and social media imagery tie in with the overall brand and event aesthetic while prioritizing structured readability for digital media.

POSTCARD MAILER & EVENT GUIDE BOOKLET

A postcard mailer meets potential participants in their homes, reaching those who might not encounter other forms of advertising. The postcard doubles as a framable art piece.

The event guide contained a full schedule of events with descriptions of each workshop and teacher. Offered to participants as a take-home souvenir, the booklet served as a portable resource for event details as well as a place to take notes while learning. Selected spreads appear below.
